The Sportsman Ian Law is a distinguished Scotch College graduate, former champion of the Hawthorn Football Club, Victorian cricket player, seasoned world traveller, and survivor. He now reflects on a remarkable and accomplished life. Marriage Barbara Duncan was born in Richmond in 1939, the first-born child of Mary Jasmine Heywood and Robert Gemel Duncan. She was followed by Robert Duncan, then James Malcolm Duncan. The move to the mallee In the year 2000, Ian and Barbara purchased Avoca Homestead Complex, on the Darling River, 26kms north of Wentworth.
