The Mallee’s Living Histories is a project which is working to enrich the lives of older Mallee residents wishing to share their memories with children, grandchildren and others who may enjoy knowing a little of their journey.
The project also offers important lessons about how we can recognise and affirm their knowledge and experience. These opportunities for reminiscence and reflection will nourish the spirits of those living in aged care and those living independently.
The storytellers hope that there will be family, friends and community members who will enjoy reading about their lives and learning more about them, even after their voices have fallen silent.
